Yuliia Kalyova, Managing Partner at ProfiLegal, has been elected to the Board of the Compliance Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) for the 2026–2027 term.
ProfiLegal’s criminal law team, led by Managing Partner Yuliia Kalova, secured the closure of a criminal case against a client that was based on false information. Simultaneously, the team initiated and ensured the registration of a criminal proceeding against the person who knowingly provided false information, under Part 2 of Article 383 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The ProfiLegal litigation team, led by Partner Vadym Matyushko with the participation of lawyer Khrystyna Yaniv, successfully defended a client in the Supreme Court, securing a precedent-setting ruling on land-use fees under seized property. The Court confirmed that a professional Manager of seized property does not acquire ownership rights and is not liable for paying land-use fees.
ProfiLegal’s White-Collar Crime team, led by Managing Partner Yuliia Kalova, secured the closure of a criminal investigation. The case concerned business transactions between major companies, whose validity and economic purpose had been under scrutiny.
